Words of Wisdom

I can't tell you how much I love reading all of your emails…  I feel so honored that you take the time to share your thoughts and experiences with me, and have loved getting to know so many of you through our corresponding.

This fantastic email from Kate really spoke to me today; I hope you feel as moved and inspired by her words as I do!

Here's to a marvelous spring!

"I just read your latest Psychology Today post about "celebrity bashing."  I love your line about us having too little time on this earth to spend it criticizing people who are doing what they love and doing it unabashedly, doing their best.  What a great thing to remember!   I've been thinking something similar lately: stop looking at the horizon (and cursing yourself for how far away you are from it, how many more miles you have to go, how tired you are, how other people got a head start, etc etc etc).   Look down at your boots and the path right there under your feet.  Notice your laces.  Notice the shape and size of the beautiful stones under your feet. Notice the flowers and grasses on the edge of the trail.  Get present to where you are right now.  Focus on your boots and on this little stretch of trail.  The horizon will take care of itself."
